- Possessive nouns are nouns that say that somethings yours.
- A noun expressing possession of a thing
- An example of a plural noun is... That's Sara's shirt. The plural noun is where it says Sara's.
- Another example of a plural noun is... Johnny ran over to David, "Hey that's Jason's Football!"
Then what are plural nouns?
- Plural nouns are nouns that mean more then one object or thing.
- A noun that basically represents more then one thing.
- Here's a plural noun example... "Look at all the puppies!" if it said "Look at all the puppy's" That would be incorrect because 'Puppy's' would mean the puppies owned something.
The Possessive and Plural Quiz was a good way to show what Plural and Possessive nouns are. It helped me see which ones I got on wrong in the end and the I went back to the problem and saw what I did wrong. :)
Glad to see that you went back and checked yourself in the quiz! Can you give an example of a plural noun having posession of something?
ReplyDeleteOh, what a lame thing to make students learn things in a writing class... sorry... However, it seems to me that it is working. You're actually learning some important ways to look at your writing while revising and editing. I appreciate the time you put in to share examples and explain what you learned. Be sure to include all aspects of the post and keep sharing your voice! :O)
