What is self direction?

I think self direction is were you be self directed, like say working on things independently instead of being in a group. You guide yourself through what your doing. If you need help you can get it, it's not like it's just you all by yourself, if you need help it's there, friends, family, advisors, triads. Blogging is like self direction because your don't have someone looking over your shoulder all the time and you can sorta do it on your own time. I also think that it's easier to work self directed because you can consentrate better.
